Murice Imperiale
Through the storm
of a summer day
and the quiet of sunset,
the echo of the sea
has stayed with me.
Now, within an elegant murex shell,
I preserve its memory:
when I hold it close
to my ear, and when—
sinuous and beguiling—
I rediscover my own scent within.
Tuberose,
the quintessential white flower
that defines my style.
Here, the tuberose is imagined as having arrived from afar inside a shell, carried by the waves. It has a home, a treasure chest where it rests. It has embraced a block of ambergris and danced with seaweed absolutes. Its petals, drenched by the sea, are steeped in purple.
If it had a color, it would be Tyrian red.
An underwater tuberose—damp and mineral.
